i am 25 and want to learn skating .

It's not too late to start skating.
The difference between the two types of skates isthe wheel configuration. The top one has all four wheels in a row. (inline skates) the bottom has the wheels lined up in a 2x2 pattern (quad skates)
Quad skates are better for beginners because they are more stable. Another advantage of quad skates is they share parts with skateboards. The bushings, bearings, wheels and some hardware can be found at a local skateboard shop. Because of the different wheels,and bushing hardnesses, the skates can be more easily customized to the rider's tastes.
