What would happen to a seller on ebay if he auctioned a ps3 but only shipped a box?
My friend just recently sold his ps3 on ebay. He didnt like the price he sold it for so he just shipped a box to the seller. I'm asking if he could get in trouble for doing so? Is this considered a crime and could he go to jail? Thanks!
It's mail fraud & it's a Federal crime. He should have set a minimum acceptable price. At this point, all he can do is pack the item very well & ship it to the customer, insured & w/a sincere apology. He could also be banned from eBay.
